Many of Z-Corp’s staff are regular golfers and some them of took part in the tournament. Ram Mohan, General Manager, International Heavy Equipment said, “I am a weekend golfer. It was great playing at Z-Corp’s first golf tournament at Muscat Hills, which is the first green course in Oman. We usually play on desert, sand courses, so it was a great feeling playing on grass. The heat did not really bother me; I have played in 42-degree heat. Once you get into the game you don’t feel it, the game drives you, and they were serving a lot of water.” Some of the other Z-Corp golfers who played on the day included Shiraj Ganguly, Assistant Manager, Oman Oil Industry Supplies & Services Co., (OOISS), V. Murali, Senior Manager IT, OOISS, Shekhar Pandit, Deputy General Manager, Business International Group (BIG). Rita D’Souza, HR Coordination Manager said, “It was ecstatic, I went with my family. It was my first time on a golf course and they gave us a tour of the course in a golf cart. Muscat Hills is breathtaking and the landscape is wonderful.”
Mr. Murali said, “It was an excellent event, well conducted highly professional. I got to play with some of the best players in Muscat.” Mr. Pandit said, “It was a good atmosphere. We had a good time with representatives from other corporations; we also talked a little business and did some relations building.” Mr. Ganguly said, “This was a well done, well thought out event and Z-Corp was generous with its gifts of polo shirts, golf balls and caps. All in all it was a very good experience and the heat was not daunting, we golfers play in the summer heat.” |
