Bait Al Zubair Museum
|
Bait Al Zubair Museum houses Oman’s largest and finest private collection, which was assembled by the Al Zubair family. It consists of over 5,000 specially selected, inherited or donated pieces spanning a number of centuries and regions that reflect Oman’s rich cultural heritage and unique identity.

The collection includes traditional Omani weaponry, jewellery, costume, household utensils and furniture, early European maps and prints of the Arabian Peninsula and East Africa, early photographs, satellite images, coins, stamps, musical instruments, documents, manuscripts and books. The Museum also features traditional Omani architecture, a falaj and traditional fishing vessels.
Bait Al Zubair Museum, in conjunction with Bait Al Zubair Foundation, plays an active role within the community by providing complimentary educational services for schools, colleges and universities. It offers a unique source of knowledge, inspiration, enjoyment and information for its visitors, and education is a core activity within it.
