| Al Hilal Investment Co. L.L.C. was incorporated in 1997 as a 100% subsidiary of The Zubair Corporation to play an important role in its investment interests. The Company monitors the Corporation’s core investments, trades in global and equity and GCC markets, invests in private equity and marketable investments, provides support to the Corporation for raising resources and participates in co-investment opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa. Al Hilal has major holdings in a number of publicly listed companies on the Muscat Stock Exchange. |

The company trades in global equities and marketable securities in the USA, Europe, the UK, Asia and GCC countries, a diversification which assists in managing risk and volatility in markets. In addition, a number of strong relationships have evolved with Global Private Equity Fund Managers and a number of Hedge Fund Managers, providing a variety of deal flows enabling Al Hilal to select investments that fit their asset allocation criteria.
The Zubair Corporation is also ably assisted by Al Hilal with a variety of services including raising cash resources for various entities within the group, facilitating the buying and selling of a range of investments, sourcing deal flows and arranging sub participation, analysing investment proposals and providing recommendations, and maintaining a data bank for tracking investments.
Al Hilal actively seeks to increase its investment activities by partnering with other business groups in the region, either through joint ventures or consortia, and currently operates on that basis in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen and Egypt. Al Hilal’s major associates in Oman are Oman International Development and Investment Co. SAOG (Ominvest) and The National Finance Co. SAOG (NFC).
