| NICE was established in 1986 and was one of the first private academic institutes in Oman. Its primary aim was to extend academic and technical support for hardware sales carried out by OCS INFOTECH, a leading technology infrastructure integration company offering innovative IT solutions and services. |
|
The institute has now expanded and is one of the approved centres in Oman that offers business English and accounting, culminating in a CAT qualification affiliated to the Associated Charter of Certified Accountants. The government funds NICE to provide corporate training programs for Ministry employees as well as those from the private sector, and training for unemployed Omanis to assist in placing them in appropriate jobs.
